American Murder was formed in 2005 in Concord, NC, by Dustin McBride (lead vocals/guitar) and Rob-O (bass/backing vocals). After writing what would become their first E.P., they were in the studio the next day recording the “Coming Home EP”. With a huge internet response form the EP., they started to hit the stage anywhere they could.
American Murder’s debut album, “Chapter 1: We Pledge Allegiance…”, merges unhinged power chords and arena ready melodies to churn out a genre defying album chocked full of heart-pounding rock and roll. With the release of Chapter 1, the guys saw their first label deal with Creepsville Entertainment. Soon after, American Murder was on the road hitting any venue or parking lot that they could.
In 2008 AM recorded the “1,000,000 years E.P.” which lead them to sign a developmental deal with DBM Records.
Dustin and Rob O had the pleasure of working closely with award winning engineer and producer, Wayne Holmes (George Duke and Kenny Loggins), on their second full length album “After Yesterday’s Disaster” and sticking to their guns of playing genre defying Rock and Roll as they see it. In early 2012, American Murder added the experience of drummer Jim Saj (of Nihm) as a member of the band. Later that year, the album came out on Wastebasket Records.
Many venues and and cities later, American Murder was able to jump on the bill with Alien Ant Farm in early April of 2015, and later, will be playing with national acts, We Are Harlot, in August of 2015.
American Murder’s motto of “We’ll play anywhere and everywhere” is the best way to describe their work ethic. They have played backyard barbecues to music festivals, from the Mid-west to the East coast and everywhere in between, even 16th birthday parties just to get out there. American Murder has also been featured at many video game release parties for Gamestop. Also, benefits are a way of giving back to the community, so AM is always ready to donate their services!
So join us in the love, the hate, the struggles, the destruction, the never ending work and drive, that this band, and many others, go through day to day. Even years….. Their story isnt over yet………
