ROCKET: To rock the masses, take over the planet, and transform one listener at a time.

What do you get when you combine one of the best lead singers with one of the best bands in the Los Angeles indie music scene? ROCKET.

If you fuze together the vocal talents of Janelle Barreto (Lead Vox) (Exploiting Eve; Crush Girl Love Panic), the musicianship of the established Los Angeles band The Pills with Eric Wibbelsmann on Lead Guitar, Bill Luna on Bass, and Paul DePatie on Drums, and mix it all together with some great songwriting, it can only rock. The Pills had lost their lead singer and started the wide search to fill the spot. Barreto seemed the perfect match both in musical influence and experience.
With notable singles, countless live shows, recording studio hours, awards and accomplishments between them,
ROCKET was born.

Based out of Los Angeles with music in the vein of Paramore, Joan Jett and Stone Temple Pilots. ROCKET has just released their new music video for their single “HEY BABY” as a follow-up to their current EP “The Singles.” ROCKET is slated for commercial radio release in 2015, as well as opening for the famous 80’s bands MISSING PERSONS, BOW WOW WOW, and GENE LOVES JEZEBEL. ROCKET was awarded the BEST ROCK BAND of 2013 by The Examiner Los Angeles Music Critic Awards, and has been in the in the Top 10 ROCK BANDS in LOS ANGELES on ReverbNation; Recently featured on and interviewed on the NEW MUSIC INFERNO in Las Vegas, ROCKET has also signed a sync licensing/music placement deal
with the CHICAGO MUSIC LIBRARY (Los Angeles).

Music journalist Renee Silverman of AXS confirms “we think the band is ready for larger venues and would not be surprised if we hear their music placed in TV commercials and movies very soon.” Now is the time to try to catch ROCKET while you can, otherwise they are headed for take off and destined for the STARS.
