A brand new band moulded in Liverpool & primed to bring their infectious brew to the world
With influences from Howlin Wolf to the Hives, Little Triggers pump glorious life into their self-penned stories of inebriation, lust and teenage angst.
This is a real rock & roll band with a live set that bristles with intensity and passion. Feeding off the crowd they pump out their tunes with huge energy. And what tunes! Full of great hooks and singalong choruses perfect for a festival crowd or intimate club. The band has now recorded an album’s worth of their own material with several obvious candidates for a single release.
The band are aged from 19 to 21 and got together nine months ago. When playing live they have won rave revues from the most important critics, young fans. After a recent, secret gig at Whelan’s in Dublin, female fans posted on Twitter that they “had blown the roof off”.
Little Triggers are: Rob Johnson on guitar & vocals, Mikey Jones on bass & vocals, Jalen Ngonda on keyboards & vocals, Sam Gallacher on drums & vocals and Tom Hamilton on lead vocals, guitar & harmonica.
Tom arrived in Liverpool late last year after three years learning to win over crowds, handle drunks, leering older women and fights, playing in Cumbria’s pubs and clubs. He was determined to seek out just the right combination of talent for the new sound he wanted to create. On meeting Jalen, who had just arrived from the US, they discovered their shared love of Soul music. At a band audition Rob was found on the rehearsal room doorstep and ended up jamming Blues tunes with Tom. Mikey and Sam are local lads. Nine months of rehearsing, recording and a handful of ‘secret’ gigs sees them ready to unleash their sound to the world.
